Both can be available for phone interviews along with writer, director Robert Alaniz to talk about the film MIND OVER MINDY.
MIND OVER MINDY is a romantic fantasy/comedy about a middle-aged man’s troubled relationship with his fiancée which becomes even more complex when his teen-age, ex-girlfriend from 1989 literally materializes from out of his dreams and into the 21st century.
The film is written and directed by Chicago’s award winning director, Robert Alaniz, whose prior two films YOU DON’T SAY! and D.I.N.K.S (Double Income No Kids) won successive “Best Comedy Film” awards at the Route 66 Film Festival. YOU DON’T SAY! won additional film awards including “Audience Favorite” and “Best Comedy” at the 2014 Illinois International Film Festival.
“MIND OVER MINDY is a blend of comedy, drama and fantasy. It’s the story of one man’s struggle to get over the past and get on with his life, that’s the drama. The comedy comes from the fantasy, when the main character Tom’s lost-love Mindy Fitzmaurice materializes from out of his dreams and into reality. What’s most fun is the fact that Mindy is from 1989 and has no knowledge of the 21st century, which adds an element of time-travel to the story as well. There’s definitely something for everyone in the film.” ~~Writer/Director, Robert Alaniz
"I was fortunate to be working with Robert again and he gave me the freedom to go out on a limb with Dr. Fisher and out on a limb I went. Luckily for us the limb didn't break. That kind of freedom is all through the movie. That's what makes it fun."~~Actor, Larry Thomas (who plays Dr. Fischer, Tom’s therapist)
